FORMULATION ADVICES:
Laboratory scale - 300 grams batch - Sweeper & Deflocculator
Combine phase A and mix with deflocculator until a nice gel smooth gel is formed. Combine phase B and mix with sweeper blade at 70 - 80rpm for 15 minutes. Combine phase C and heat to melt avobenzone and mix well. Increase mixing speed of phase B to 170 - 200rpm and very slowly add phase C to phase B. After addition of phase C, mix for 15 minutes. Add phase A to phase BC and mix well. Transfer batch to deflocculator and mix to create a nice vortex and then add phase D. Mix until a smooth emulsion is formed. Check and adjust to pH 4.2 - 4.8.
