Their method utilizes expert panelists who have evaluated over 150 esters against 15 benchmarks. Through this study and through the mission of creating a greener tomorrow, Stearinerie Dubois has launched two new emollients: DUB SOGREEN and DUB TOGEE.

Scientific Approach

Expert panelists have characterized the esters according to an independent characterization and in comparison to benchmarks. For each criterion, they were given a score of 0 to 10.

At the same time, data was compiled regarding more than 12 physio-chemical properties.

Stearinerie Dubois (opens new window) created proximity matrices using this data compilation and additional sensory evaluation.

• Dimethicone
• Isohexadecane
• Mineral Oil (Light Liquid Paraffin)

DUB TOGEE: alternative to Mineral Oil (Light Liquid Paraffin)

Light liquid paraffin (LLP) is commonly used in cosmetics, mainly in lip balms, cold creams, and makeup products. It adds emolliency to the final product, while bringing a comforting and hydrating feeling to the skin.

One of the two newest launches from Stearinerie Dubois, DUB TOGEE (opens new window) brings a close sensory profile to LLP, while also improving on some important points:
