Key Ingredients
EMOGREEN™ HP 40 displays double benefits as it helps to disperse UV filters thanks to 60% of EMOGREEN™ L19 and delivers great water resistance and substantivity of the sunscreen on the skin thanks to film forming properties. (C15-19 Alkane and Hydrogenated Polyfarnesene (Plant-based & Renewable))
EMOGREEN™ HP 40 is a non polar and inherently biodegradable, bio-sourced emollient. It’s a sustainable alternative to heavy silicones in formulation. This high purity versatile texturing ingredient brings comfort to the hair and the skin. Multifaceted ingredient, it provides film forming properties with a soft and supple afterfeel. Its silky protective effect and its versatility will be appreciated in Sun Care applications.
The combination SEPINOV™ EMT 10 and SEPIMAX ZEN™ efficiently stabilizes a SPF 30 formula while providing a light and fresh skin feel.
SEPINOV™ EMT 10 thickens and stabilizes formulation even in presence of a high percentage of oily phase. It gives a “satin” touch, glide-on, and freshness. (Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer)
SEPIMAX ZEN™ is highly compatible with sun filters. It thickens the texture reinforces the formula stability of this formula containing 15% of sun filters. (Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6)
FORMULATION ADVICES:
Laboratory scale - 300 g Anchor stirrer & Silverson rotor/stator
Mix phase A and heat to 85℃ until it becomes clear. Add phase B into phase A and stir it until uniformity. Heat phase C to 85℃. Add phase C into phase A+B, homogenize it with Silverson at 4000 rpm for 4 min. Cool down and add phase D and stir it with anchor stirrer at 300 rpm for 5 min. Add phase E to adjust pH value to 6.5 and stir it gently.
