Key Ingredients

The combination of MONTANOV ™ 82 & MONTANOV ™ S creates a stable and homogenous emulsion over the time. It allows a homogenous dispersion of sunscreens and creates a smooth and uniform films on the skin.

MONTANOV™ 82 (Cetearyl Alcohol and Coco-Glucoside) Glucolipid emulsifier derived from vegetable origin. MONTANOV™ 82 is especially well-suited for formulations with a high concentration of active ingredients. In combination with the other grades of the MONTANOV™ range, it can be used to modulate the texture and flexibility of the emulsions as desired. It allows the formulation of stable sun care products in terms of texture, dispersion of sunscreens, protection factor.

MONTANOV™ S (Cocoglucoside and Coconut Alcohol) Glucolipid co-emulsifier in harmony with nature. The combination with another emulsifier facilitates the formulation of stable sun care products in terms of texture, dispersion of sunscreens, protection factor.

SOLAGUM™ AX (Xanthan Gum and Acacia Senegal Gum) Smart combination of natural thickening polymers. SOLAGUM™ AX also displays emulsifying properties that allow to stabilize up to 15% of oils. It also offer good compatibility with hydrophilic pigments and inorganic sunscreens allowing to create all kind of formulation. Can be used with hot or cold process. Cosmos and Natrue approved, it is the perfect ally for all natural formulation.

AQUAXYL™ moisturizes and restructures the skin by harmonizing the hydric flow of the skin. (Xylitylglucoside and Anhydroxylitol and Xylitol) Water reserves are instantly boosted, water circulation is improved in all skin layers and water loss is reduced (in vitro and in vivo tests prove this efficacy). It’s mechanism of action has been validated by cosmetogenomics. Cosmos and Natrue approved.

DUB COG* (Cocoglycerides) Used as emulsifier, pigment dispersant and solubilizer of UV filters. This ester can be used in Natrue, Cosmos & Ecocert® cosmetic formulations. Percentage of ingredients with natural origin according to ISO 16128: 100%.

FORMULATION ADVICES:

Pilote scale - 10 kg - Silverson

Heat water of phase A at 75°C and disperse SOLAGUM™ AX. Heat phase B at 75°C and homogenize until uniform. Add phase B into phase A and emulsify. Cool down with deflocculating stirrer until 35°C. Add phases C and D. Homogenize for 2 minutes.
