Key Ingredients

This sunscreen brings an anti-pollution & antioxidant protection thanks to CONTACTICEL™ & EPHEMER™. These two active ingredients have been obtained by CELEBRITY™ unique technology of macroalgae cell culture!

CONTACTICEL™ (Aqua/Water - Butylene Glycol - Hydrolyzed Rhodophyceae Extract): Macroalgae cells of Acrochaetium moniliform. Efficacy proven on volunteers: it allows a protection of the skin against ozone.

EPHEMER™ (Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride - Undaria Pinnatifida Extract): Extract of gametophytes, macroalgae cells of Undaria pinnatifida. A unique sourcing for an immediate & long lasting antioxidant effect (In vitro & in vivo efficacy).

The combination of SEPIMAX ZEN™ & SOLAGUM™ AX provides a light texture able to stabilize solar filters in formula.

SEPIMAX ZEN™ (Polyacrylate Crosspolymer-6): Powder polymer with a MAXIMUM resistance to electrolytes. Specific skin feeling: rich, velvety & elegant.

SOLAGUM™ AX (Acacia Senegal Gum - Xanthan Gum): Combination of thickening polymers. Eco-friendly product (sustainable development). Hot or cold processable.

MONTANOV™ 82 stabilizes the emulsion containing sun filters. (Cetearyl Alcohol - Coco-Glucoside) Glucolipid emulsifier derived from vegetable origin. Allows the formulation of stable sun care products (texture, dispersion of sunscreens, protection factor...).

EMOGREEN™ L19 delivers a fresh & gliding feel during application followed by a powdery finish. (C15-19 Alkane) (Plant-based & Renewable) High purity non polar & biodegradable, bio-sourced emollient. Beyond a lightweight & non-greasy skin feel, it gives a powdery finish. Inert & stable, even in extreme conditions (pH, oxidizing/reducing media…).

SEPIMAT™ SB elevates the formula by decreasing drying time & by providing a pleasant powdery afterfeel. (Methyl Methacrylate Crosspolymer) Absorbent, soft microspheres. This versatile & easy-to-disperse powder is suitable for sprayable formulations due to its fine granulometry. Ideal for a soft & matte skin appearance.

LANOL 37: a good organic sunscreen solubilizer. (Triheptanoin)

FORMULATION ADVICES:

Laboratory scale - 6 kg - Trimix

Heat water in the tank to 80°C and add SEPIMAT™ SB and Colorant. Weigh ingredients of phase in a beaker, put under agitation and heat to 80°C with a hot water bath. When phase B is melted, add phase C. Then emulsify (phase B+C) into phase A in the tank, and stir at 3000 RPM. Stop rotor stator and keep other agitations. Cool down to 60°C and put under vacuum. When the formula reaches 40°C break the vacuum and add phase D. Prepare phase D in a beaker by adjusting pH to 5.5 with citric acid (25%). Finally, add phase E into the tank. Homogenize with rotor stator at 3000 RPM during 10 minutes.
