EU07604 - Well: Waste Less Lotion

A hydrating emulsion for face and body formulated with COSMOS approved ingredients from by-products of industrial manufacturing processes.

This face & body lotion has been developed in accordance with the “zero waste” trend and involves COSMOS approved ingredients only.

Key ingredients

The O/W emulsion is created by MONTANOV™ 202. SOLAGUM™ AX gives a soft and non-sticky skin feel and a moisturizing sensation to this lotion. At only 0.1% SOLAGUM™ TARA increases significantly the viscosity of the lotion and texturizes it.

EMOGREEN™ L15 combined with LANOL 2681 brings the lightweight and non-greasy skin feel. This combination gives an unique gliding sensation and a powdery and soft finish. SEPIFINE™ BB provides a soft and velvety skin finish while creating a pleasant playtime.
WeLL offers strong moisturizing properties: HYDRACHRYSUM™ breaks INFLAMM'DRYNESS™ vicious circle while restoring skin barrier function and homeostasis while MONTANOV™ 202 promotes liquid crystals which play a role in maintaining skin moisturization over time.

WeLL is in line with the zero waste trend :

MONTANOV™ 202 sludges, by-product from production process, are used to produce energy through methanization.
HYDRACHRYSUM™ production process does not release any waste as all ingredients play a role in the final product activuty.
SEPIFINE™ BB is sourced from the mesocarp of babassu nut, a by-product of kernel and shell, for a zero waste approach.
HYDRALIXIR™ LD is an algae cellular water, eco-designed by-product, resulting from an energy efficient process (gentle drying). Is is a natural alternative to replace a part of the freshwater used in cosmetic formulations, to save water and reduce formula water footprint.

Weigh phases A and C separately and heat up to 80°C.
When both phases are at the right temperature, add B into A and stir with a spatula.
Add phase C into (A+B). Add D just before emulsification.
Emulsify for 4 minutes at 4000 rpm under Silverson.
Cool down under anchor for 10 minutes + 10 minutes with a cold water bath.
Disperse Sepifine BB in 5% of water. Add each component of E separately at around 40°C.
Adjust pH at the end of the process.
